TV on DVD You Should Already Have #6

Published by patxshand at 11:04 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

The Office.

You’ve heard about it.  If not, you’re either a person with a hectic social life with friends that have never turned on a TV set, or dead.  And I hope you’re not dead.  Because that would be sad.  But anyway, it stars The 40 Year Old Virgin’s Steve Carell as clueless boss Michael Scott… and it’s very, very good.  But is it worth buying on DVD?  Let’s check it out.

 THE OFFICE- SEASON ONE

“The comedic timing, along with the wacky stories, is the best part about this show. The sheer awkwardness of the interactions between these people, pulled off brilliantly by these top-notch actors, will leave you laughing out loud.

The central cast is backed by a large amount of recurring characters (other employees) who shine just as much as some of the stars. Each episode is a quick twenty minutes, which allows for quick and pleasant viewing. While this season is very short–one disc with six episodes on it–it will surely leave you craving more “The Office” hilarity.

8/10″

VERDICT: Buy.  Yes, of course buy.  Just see if you can get it for a bit cheaper.  There is only a disc worth of episodes here, and the price is kinda considerable.  If you can’t find it for under $10, look elsewhere.

NEXT TIME: The Office - Season Two.  Worth your time, money, and the inevitable gut you’ll bust from laughing?
