So… about that television that doesn’t suck.
A lot of television sucks. More than half of the television that sucks actually doesn’t just suck, it sucks a lot. For every great show (Buffy, Lost, Six Feet Under, My So-Called Life), there will be ten horrible shows. This blog will try to help guide you through what’s good, what’s good at the moment, what used to be good but not so much anymore, and what flat out sucks.
Now, you might be thinking that this is a bad time to start a blog about television. I mean, come on. It’s the end of the season. A season starved by a (righteous) strike, mind. But for me, this is the perfect time. I have months to chat about what TV ON DVD (the best kind of DVD, if you ask dude with orange hair otherwise known as, erm, me) is worth buying and which belongs in the pile next to your Moonlight and Cavemen DVDs. Also, and probably more interestingly, I’ve got a whole Hurley-sized amount of time to talk about shows coming out in the Fall 2008 season that sound good (as well as the one that sound like definite suckage).
So yeah. Let’s chat the 2008-2009 season. We’ve got a few powerhouse shows coming up, and for the next few entries, I’ll be showcasing those (one show per day). So what comes first? Coming from a guy who also runs a blog that reviews Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics, it’s no surprise that the show that I (and everyone else who isn’t, you know, evil) am most excited for is Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse.
So next entry, totally dishing the awesome on Dollhouse. When it’s coming, what channel it’ll air on, what show it will lead into, who is working on it, and how it looks like it’ll shape up to Whedon’s previous shows and everything else that’s on television.
Alright then.
